Benefit High Beam review

This product comes in a glass jar and when you unscrew the top it has a brush attached (like a nail varnish) Benefit sales assistants will tell you to mix this in with your foundation for an all over glow. I have tried that only once and it did highlight a little too much. The consistency is fairly gel like it as a pearlescent sheen with a pink/silvery undertone. This product can be difficult to blend, I find the best application is with a 188 MAC stipling brush for an airbrushed finish. I apply this on the cheek bones and a little on the brow bone, you can add a little above the cupid's bow for a fuller lip.
Overall a nice product but it does require some careful blending. I would not recommend this for oily skins and it will only add to the shine on the skin and I also don't recommend if you have large pores as this will only emphasize them.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream review

I have sensitive blemish prone dry skin. I have found in the past that thick creams simply do not sink into my skin and the product will sit on it and my face will remain sticky, therefore doing little to hydrate. I have been pleased and suprised with this it sinks in very quickly, leaving skin soft, hydrated but not greasy. I have tried the eye creams and found it irritated my eyes (watering) so I can see how others may react to this also. The only downside is the packaging not because its in a jar I always use clean washed hand to apply creams anyway but the fact it is glass makes it very difficult to travel with.
Overall I like it very much and would repurchase!

Lets get started!

I am starting a blog to review and discuss everything beauty wise! I will be reviewing everything from skincare to makeup, I use a range of brands so let me know what you think and if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Heather.
